How to Get the Perfect Blowout

If you have wild, frizzy, wavy hair like I do it can feel like you're going into battle when you pick up the blowdryer. I always feel that I have to go in afterward with another heat tool (either my curling wand or straightening iron).

But, I finally watched a Youtube tutorial that helped me figure out. Two actually, by Harry Josh who is a celebrity hairstylist who works on the likes of Gisele Bundchen.

And here's the key thing I noticed in this tutorial. You have to go SO SLOW. But, if you are methodical about it you CAN get your hair to straighten. I actually sectioned it slightly differently than he had her do here. I separated it into four quadrants like he showed in this video.

I have never been able to get my hair as straight as I did the other night. I think the thing I was missing was those smaller sections and just how slow I should be going with the blowdryer. Harry Josh's tutorials are always so helpful to me. I think I might have to suck it up and get the blowdryer because it's supposed to be amazing and he always advocates the importance of having the right tools.

Also, never forget to use a heat protectant when you blowdry. I like to use R + Co's Park Ave because it helps to straighten the hair and leaves me with less frizz.
